Our next event will be on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 12 noon in the LMPC fellowship hall. Our speaker, John Wilson, is a graduate of Covenant College and was a staff writer for the Chattanooga Free Press for 28 years. In 1999 John launched the website Chattanoogan.com which is a successful online media outlet that concentrates on news from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He authored the book Chattanooga’s Story in 2013 which combines a chronological account of Chattanooga’s remarkable story with information on many of the city’s leading families. It includes a complete, fact-filled account of a city whose history has been filled with romantic interest and thrilling events. John’s topic will be the little known fact that Lookout Mountain once had three railroads in operation at the same time in the 1880s. There will be time for a question & answer period.
We will have a box lunch and the cost is $5. Your check or cash needs to be in the LMPC office by Monday, May 9, or you can register and pay at the link below. What a great time to invite friends during the “Merry Month of May!”
