History of the Library

The LMPC Library was begun in the 1940’s by Susan Chambliss Irvine. Alice Joiner was the librarian from 1959 until her death in 1985. As one of our church’s longest-serving volunteers, Wiki Carter maintained and grew the collection from 1981 to 2021 and continues to assist the staff. The current librarian is Jennifer West. If you have questions about the library, please contact her below.

Using the Library

Anyone in the greater community of LMPC is welcome to use our library. You do not need to be a member or even a regular visitor. Simply fill out a “patron form” when at the church and turn it in. You will then be added to the library database so that you can check books out electronically. All members of LMPC are automatically added to the database.
