Topic: Guarding the Heart: Lessons from Solomon’s Life
What happens when someone is given everything they ever prayed for and still drifts from God? We will walk through 1 Kings 1–11 to explore the rise, reign, and spiritual decline of King Solomon, who was a man gifted with extraordinary wisdom, yet vulnerable to a divided heart. We will consider how success and comfort can quietly erode faithfulness, and why Scripture calls God’s people to guard their hearts in steadfast love and obedience to the Lord.

Topic: Jesus and the Kingdom of God
How important was the idea of the kingdom of God to Jesus and the work he was doing while he was on earth? What did he mean when he said that that kingdom “was near,” and what are the implications of that statement in the lives of people today? During this class, we will explore those questions and many more as they relate to this theme.

Topic: Genesis 43-50: The Beginning Ends
In this final Genesis series, we’ll see God’s sovereign hand in the life of Joseph and the beautiful reconciliation he ultimately experienced with his estranged family. We’ll see Jacob and his family journey to Egypt, which serves as the backdrop of the story of God’s redemption of his people, including us.

The gospels tell us that Jesus didn’t just tell stories, he also asked questions: lots of them! The four gospels plus Acts reproduce nearly three hundred questions from the lips of Jesus. His questions prompt our participation and reflection. They create dialogue and make us think. Many of these questions can teach and transform us.
